Beer Bubbles

While filming a completely different beer-related project, I had the lens focused on the surface of the beer, where the bubbles rose into the plane of focus before settling at the top. The shallow depth of field transformed an everyday process into something almost abstract. Some bubbles drifted past one another, some collided and nudged each other aside, while others reached the surface and quietly popped. It's a reminder that sometimes the most interesting shots are the ones you discover while filming something else.
